Travelers, who plan to take an extended trip to Lake City, for either business or pleasure, now have a new option for accommodations. The Home2Suites hotel opened this month, offering extended stay visitors 86-rooms an outdoor swimming pool, workout area and other hotel luxuries combined with the comforts of home.

Each room has a pullout sleeper sofa, desk and a kitchen, including some cookware. It’s been very exciting for us, said Nick Patel owner of the new hotel and VP of operations/development for Lake City Hotels. We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Patel noted that Home2Suites is the fastest growing brand in the Hilton Company.

The Lake City Home2Suites is the 76th location opened in the United States and only the third in Florida. We expect to do very well in Lake City, Patel said. I think this was needed in Lake City and we filled the void.This is one of the best and smoothest openings I’ve experienced in my nine years of opening hotels for Hilton worldwide,she said. It was amazing. The Team is amazing and management is great. They had everything on point. Rona Cunningham, Home2 Suites general manager, said she’s excited to bring the hotel to Lake City. The extended stay brand is needed her and we’re looking forward operating this hotel it has all the comforts of home.
